I’m a PhD candidate!

Yesterday I did my Thesis proposal review presentation and everything went all right. I was able to explain the research project, the underlying theories and the context. I even explained Engestrom’s triangular representation. I received lots of congratulations, comments, suggestions and some questions to keep on reflecting. As an overall evaluation, I got a thumbs up!

It’s silly, but now I feel I can say I’m a PhD candidate. I started my doctoral studies ten months ago, and only now I see that it is real I am pursuing a PhD and that I’m doing research and that one of the outcomes will be a hundred thousand word thesis together with the PhD degree.

Now I have heaps to do , think, reflect on and improve for my research. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be doing a PhD.
Today is Saturady, Election day . I’d better go an see what’s out there!
